September Nurse of the Month – Linda

Oct 04, 2021

At WESolutions, we strive to build long lasting relationships with all the talented nurses we have worked with even after helping them secure a new role. Since our establishment, we have been committed to understanding the ambitions, dreams and choices of these people and we are proud to be a part of their careers and life!

Our Nurse of the Month initiative is designed to highlight the journey, achievements, and experiences of some of the most hard-working nurses we have had the pleasure of assisting to identify their dream jobs. Without further ado, we would like to introduce September’s Nurse of the Month, Linda.

Linda’s Story

September Nurse of the Month – Linda Kajuju MuthomiLinda has overcome many challenges and hurdles to get to the UK. Since arriving in the UK, she has become an inspiration for many nurses alike who dream of building a nursing career in the UK.

Q: When did you realise that a career in nursing was right for you? Was there a particular moment in your life?
A: I wasn’t sure of which career path I wanted to pursue, but I always knew it had to be within the medical field. I had to start somewhere, and nursing was the best step forward based on my qualifications. There was just no looking back from there!

Q: What was your journey like in securing a role through WE Solutions?
A: My journey wasn’t the easiest but partnering with WESolutions made the entire process smooth. They facilitated everything. The team was very supportive and informative from the very first day! The fact that they keep checking in with me even after settling in the UK is the biggest highlight for me. I’m particularly grateful for how genuine the agency is and upholds its integrity.

Q: What advice would you give to young people considering a career in nursing?
A: Nursing for me is a job from the heart! You must be willing to work with your patients wholeheartedly – holding their hands with compassion towards health. It can be overwhelming sometimes but it is a very rewarding career. Pursue it only when you’re sure you’ll be happy doing it your whole life!

Q: Do you have any standout memories/funny/interesting stories from your career as a nurse?
A: Some of my many standout memories have to be the times I talked patients out of committing suicide and giving up in life. I won’t go into the specifics, but this means a lot to me! Changing someone’s perception towards life and showing them some light is the noblest deed you can do.

Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
A: As an empath, I wish I had the ability to snap my fingers and solve everyone’s problems, particularly the mental and emotional ones. We all need it!
