Our Nurse of the Month initiative is designed to highlight the journey, achievements, and experiences of some of the most talented nurses we have had the pleasure of assisting to identify their dream jobs. Without further ado, we would like to introduce November’s Nurse of the Month, Mithun.
Mithun’s Story
Mithun arrived in the UK as a pre-registered nurse, and after successfully achieving his nursing registration, he was promoted as a Charge Nurse.
When the pandemic first broke last year, Mithun was working at the COVID-19 ward. And his response and outlook on the situation were very positive. He was determined to care and serve the people regardless of their condition.
He has been a huge asset to the NHS Trust, and we are so proud of his achievements. Thank you for making us a part of your success, Mithun. You are really one of our NHS Heroes!

Q: When did you realise that a career in nursing was right for you? Was there a particular moment in your life?
A: There wasn’t a particular moment – I always knew that I wanted to make nursing my profession!
Q: What was your journey like in securing a role through WESolutions?
A: My journey was filled with ups and downs, but the amazing people at WESolutions helped me every step of the way. They supported and guided me through all the processes and have helped me achieve my dreams of working in the UK as a nursing professional.
Q: What advice would you give to young people considering a career in nursing?
A: Nursing is not just a profession; it is a way of life. You will need a holistic approach to caring and helping people in life, before choosing nursing as a career.
Q: Do you have any standout memories/funny/interesting stories from your career as a nurse?
A: Nothing specific, but I must say that every day is a new day. It brings along plenty of fun and stressful experiences, as well as learning opportunities.
Q: If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
A: I think being a nurse is being a superhero and nursing in itself is some kind of superpower! The pandemic has proven this.
I would like to show some gratitude and appreciate all my colleagues from all over the world for their hard work and dedication to fight this pandemic! Also, a word for all those who lost their lives during these times.
